SHIATSU

traditionally translated, means finger or thumb pressure.  Some refer to Shiatsu as Japanese massage.  It is also known as Tuina and acupressure.  Acupressure is one of the five areas of study in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).  In China of olden days, the role of a doctor was not one of treating those who were sick; instead the doctor's role was to keep a person healthy.  This is the way of TCM and the Eastern path to health.  Health care was preventative.

Shiatsu works on various pressure points (tsubos) within the body to allow the energy, known as chi or qi,  to flow uninterrupted through the meridians. Meridians are channels of chi that are associated with the body's organs as understood by Traditional Chinese Medicine.  The pressure used in Shiatsu feels more localized, because, unlike other types of massage, the pressure is focused into the tsubos upon the meridians.  Certain acupressure points may feel tender.  This usually indicates an area where the body has an energy blockage, or where there is an imbalance.  Some describe it as a "good pain", especially once the natural energetic flow is restored.

Most who have experienced Shiatsu say it is as relaxing as the more classic forms of massage.

Typically a shiatsu session takes place on a futon mat on the floor.  However, if a client is unable to get onto the floor, the session can be done on a therapy table or in a chair.

Possible benefits of Shiatsu:

*      Stress reduction          *      Release toxins from the body

*      Increase Energy          *      Improve blood circulations

 *      Balance ki (chi)          *      Increase mental and spiritual awareness

*      Back pain relief           *      Improve Digestion

*      IT FEELS GOOD

Do not eat a heavy meal prior to a Shiatsu session.  Eat at least an hour or two before the session.   Wear loose comfortable clothing that allows free movement.

Kinesiology

uses feedback from muscle response testing as the interpretor for the body to indicate what is needed to be in balance.  Kinesiology is used to facilitate a person to clear imbalances which may stem from one or more levels, (physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, social, financial etc).  It is a non-invasive method that can reduce stress and pain, but is not limited to that.  Kinesiology has also been used to improve both mental and physical performance.

How and why does it work?

The basis of this work has a heavy hand in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), anatomy and physiology.

*

Because there are many factors that can affect the body's energy system, it is constantly adjusting in order to adapt.

*

These factors can be stressors to the body and when they become too numerous for the body to handle, the flow of energy, or chi, can be compromised.

*

This can
lead to depleted life energy, illness or dis-ease.  Kinesiology works to remove the blockage of energy flow and to
restore balance.

What's a session like?

A typical kinesiology session starts by determining what the goal for the session is.  Together we then determine a measurable criterion that applies in order to show objective change and to gauge the progress made through  the session.  These can be anything from improved range of motion or pain scale to improved performance of a specific task.

Next the energy of the body is assessed through muscle testing  of various muscles, each relating to specific meridians of the body as understood by Traditional Chinese Medicine.

From there a specific kinesiology protocol is followed in order to find and fix the areas out of balance as related to the goal.  We recheck the assessment and the pre-determined criteria to show the
improvements.

One part of BKP/PKP kinesiology that is different from many other types of healing modalities is the relevance of emotions on the goal.  The emotion is the body - mind connector.  It is through finding the priority emotion on line in relation to the goal that you are able to clear the energy blockages and the patterns around these blockages.

Once a session is complete,
you will be given tools and home reinforcements to use in order to sustain the benefits and improvements gained from the session.

Can you cure my ???

A kinesiologist does not diagnose or treat named diseases as kinesiology works in the energetic model of health
not the medical model.

The work is done based on
what you want,
not what you don't want.

Balance

Balance

Reiki

is a Japanese word which means Universal Life Force Energy.  Reiki is an ancient art of hands on healing.  It is a natural healing system that transmits energy through the hands of the practitioner to the client.  It helps redirect energy along the pathways to untangle energy knots caused by physical and emotional stress.  This helps to restore the free flow of energy.

Integrated Energy Therapy (IET)

IET logois a powerful energy therapy that is geared to "get the issues out of your tissues" for good.  IET works with the 12-strand Spiritual DNA to release  emotions such as guilt, anger, resentments, fears, sadness and guilt held within the cellular memory of the body.  As these are released, the body is then energized and integrated with new emotions such as innocence, forgiveness, safety and love.   In this way IET supports your self healing by safely and gently releasing limiting energy patterns of your past, empowering and balancing your life in the present, to help you reach for the stars as you evolve into your future.

 Hypnotherapy

received it's formal recognition by
the American Medical Association in
1958, although hypnosis has existed
for thousands of years.  The word
hypnosis comes from the Greek word
'leep', however this is a misnomer.
The hypnotized individual is actually
more alert than ever.   During a
hypnosis session the hypnotherapist
assists the client by making positive,
helpful suggestions directly to the
subconscious mind in order to help
the conscious mind eliminate
unwanted patterns such as smoking,
overeating, and nail biting.   These
'hypnotic suggestions' help you
succeed where your conscious efforts
failed in the past.  This makes you the master of your
conscious efforts.

Hypnotherapy uses:
  • to change old, unwanted habits
  • visualizations for health
  • inner child dialogue
  • sports performance
  • regressions
  •  self healing for body, mind
  • and spirit

What to Expect

Every client will have a pre-session interview and a discussion of the
challenges wanted to be addressed.
This pre induction is to help the client
 understand what hypnosis is and
how it can work for them.  At this time
any questions or concerns you may
have will be addressed.  Some have a
fear of loss of control or not
awakening from a trance.  In all
actuality, the subject is never under
the control of the hypnotist at all, as
all hypnosis is self hypnoses.  The
conscious mind is always alert under
hypnosis and the person's senses are
many times stronger in the trance
state than in the normal waking
state.

Once the client's needs are
understood, and any questions
answered, the hypnosis  takes
place.
